Over 100 years ago, Deazeley Studios was established by John Deazeley with the business passing to his daughters Trissie and Elsie. Since 1948, the studio has been run by the Perkins Family. Nancy Perkins was the chief photographer for over 45 years followed by Peter and Jayne Perkins both photographers for over 30 years. The transition from Mother to son to daughter has continued with Lucy Perkins Bird joining the business over 10 years ago. Deazeley studio also has a very small but highly experienced professional team of staff.
Our reputation for quality and service is something we are extremely proud of and we keep our client requests at the top of the list when shooting a commission. Our specialty is weddings and portraits however we indulge in all types of photography. We are a dedicated team committed to our profession, maintaining standards established by the Professional Photographers Association and the Australian Institute of Professional Photographers both of which Peter has been a member for over 30 years.
Our client list includes being the exclusive portrait photographer for the Miss Australia Quest from 1962. It includes prominent politicians, Prime Ministers, Bishops, Musicians, Artists and Ballet dancers and most importantly, the general public. We are not tied to the Toowoomba region and are prepared to travel nationally for the discerning client if needed. We are a creative team, always thinking of new ideas, happy to work with your ideas while maintaining a high standard of photography which sets us apart from others in the profession. We pride ourselves in creating a happy and friendly environment for any special occasion.
